Latticework and Lathing

Laying out the cradles.
Cradle pieces drilled and being glued and assembled.
I glued up two pieces of hardwood, marked for the arches and cut them out with a bandsaw.
Assembling the arches.
I have notched and glued the pieces for the side latticework.

Experimenting with dowels. Because of the time involved in the lathing process (eight hours!) I experimented with simply drilling and inserting dowels. Not as fancy but it is quicker and leaves a perfectly square shoulder. I am still deciding which method is best. The 'Barely Naked rack was built entirely this way and saved six hours of labor.
