This was always a sideline business for me. My main business is http://TamingoftheGrain.com , a Custom Woodworking Shop.
A new owner could visit homes, give on-site estimates, offer pickup, delivery and installation, glaze window casements in place, etc.
There are even more things a new owner could do, such as screening in entire porches. There are two ways to do this that I can show a buyer.
Expand to double-pane repair for even more income.

As far as I know I am the only dedicated storm and screen repair shop in this area. There are a few other places that can do repairs, like hardware stores and auto glass shops, but mostly they use a part time person or a minimum wage employee who doesn't have much experience.

I charge $38/hour plus I mark up materials 100%. I can repair a typical screen or storm in 15 minutes.
So that is $9.50 labor and $2.50 in screening for a total of $12 and tax. With my materials markup this gives me $43/hour, great money if the business was steady.
The hardware stores and auto glass shops in the area would probably charge double that.
You could either advertise that you charge half the price of anyone else or you could charge $20 and advertise that you are the cheapest.

I offer two hours of training, tips for starting a new business and tips for repairs.

This is my Fletcher Terry 3000 Glass Cutter. It also cuts plexiglass and mat board.

Glass Cutter 1

It has a 60" range, far more than most glass cutters. By buying large sheets I can reduce waste.

Glass Cutter 2

This heavy duty glass rack can hold all you put on it. It is attached to the wall and sloped to keep the glass in place.

Glass Rack 1

I had the glass stored vertically once, now I place it horizontally so it can be moved to the cutter without having to rotate it.

Glass Rack 2

I have two storage racks for the cut pieces of glass. A small one over a large one.

Cut Glass Storage

Here is all the screening in one place on a custom wall rack. I hang spools of spline off the far end.

Screening Rack

I have screen and storm samples, window glazing and drawers and drawers of parts.

Parts 1

Here is another drawer set and even more parts.

Parts 2

This is one wall rack of screen and storm framing stock. You can see more parts on the bench.

Here is the second wall rack of framing stock.
